TV Misery is the latest creative project by producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Watson, known for his role as the lead guitarist of the acclaimed indie rock band Wharves. Raised in the musical environment of his family's Northern Rivers music shop, Mike's early immersion in music shaped his career.

TV Misery allows Mike to explore Garage Rock and Art Rock, blending his storytelling and musicianship to create evocative narratives. For fans of Wilco, David Bowie, and Arcade Fire, TV Misery promises a blend of introspective and vibrant sonic exploration, whether through intimate solo sets with a drum machine or dynamic full-band productions. Recently, TV Misery sold out their first ticketed show at Byron Bay's 'Howl and Moan'.

Mike has achieved notable success, including performances at Splendour in the Grass and the Isle of Wight festivals, and extensive tours across Europe and the UK with DZ Deathrays. His music has gained significant airplay on major radio stations like Triple J, BBC Radio 1, and Radio X, reflecting his widespread appeal.

TV Misery's first singles, 'Take a Breath' and 'Switch Off/Return,' are cohesive but offer distinct sounds, showcasing Mike's versatility. Both tracks have received support from various local and national community radio stations.

Mike's creativity extends beyond music into multimedia experimentation, using webcams and projectors for reactive live visual shows. He's also curated DIY cassettes with limited-release alternative versions of his singles, offering fans a unique engagement.
